Friends of Shepley Band
Friends of Shepley Band is a growing number of patrons who support Shepley Band.
Whilst providing welcome additional financial support for the Band, they enjoy a range of benefits depending upon the membership package chosen.
These benefits range from Newsletters about the Band, reserved seating at selected concerts as well as special preview evenings where they can come along to meet the band, hear our new music and enjoy a drink!

Hi everyone and welcome!
I’m Jayne Kirk. I play the oboe in Shepley Band. The oboe forms part of the woodwind section. I sit on the front row in between the flutes and the clarinets, usually obscured from view by our Musical Director waving her arms around! I’m also your FoSB scheme coordinator, so here’s a picture of me so that you know who I am. I joined Shepley Band in 2008 as a clarinet player but I was also taking lessons on the oboe so as soon as I was competent enough to play the music at Shepley Band, I swapped seats - not that I’ve got anything against clarinets but the oboe brings a different colour to the sound of the Band. At the moment I play the oboe part on my own, but I’m always on the lookout for a fellow oboist.
My job as the Friends of Shepley Band coordinator is to run the scheme, write the Friend’s Newsletters, keep the Band Concert Display Boards up-to-date with information and photos, and maintain the Friends website pages. I’m also here to answer any questions you may have.
