Born from a musical family, Scott started playing the piano aged 4, under the eminent and watchful eyes of Margaret Poucher. He attained Grade 8 with Distinction during his early teenaged years and has participated in many local and national music festivals and competitions, many of which he was awarded 1st prize.

By the age of eight Scott began to broaden his musical horizons, deciding to study the clarinet, closely followed by the flute, saxophone and violin. He successfully achieved a further two Grade 8s before leaving Secondary School.

In late 2004 Scott prepared for his first Diploma in Music Performance (Clarinet) with Trinity College of Music which was passed with flying colours in early 2005.

He is currently working on clarinet repertoire to undertake a further diploma.
Since completing his diploma, Scott has now set up his own School of Music from his family home in which he teaches Piano, Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone, Violin and Theory of Music. He is also a well-known accompanist and recitalist.

Scott plays 1st Clarinet in Shepley Band.
