Shepley Band is a growing group of amateur musicians playing brass and woodwind instruments. They meet weekly to rehearse and perform at a growing number of engagements around Shepley, West Yorkshire and the surrounding towns and villages.

The reputation of the band continues to grow and is attracting more and more new players. In August 2008 the band visited Sweden and performed a number of engagements to very appreciative audiences. August 2010 saw Shepley Band around Lake Garda in Italy where the band played three concerts to huge audiences.

Members range in age from the young to the young at heart and from a wide background of careers and musical experiences. They all share one common passion however - to come together to play and enjoy a wide range of music. Of paramount importance is to have great time and to make music fun and accessible for all.

There are no competitions; the only pressure you’ll feel is of your own making and everyone is hugely supportive of each other. New members settle into the band quickly and join in the fun - but we all remain focused on doing our best - both individually and for the good of the band.

The band is available for engagements throughout the year - simply have a look at the Contact page to get in touch.

If you’d like to join the band please come along to any rehearsal at Shepley Methodist Hall every Tuesday at 1930 - or call us or email us for more information. See the Contact page for more details.
